Fun with your horse

On offer at Rose River Run

Welcome to Rose River Run Equine Adventure Park. Let us spoil you for the weekend. Our rides are as follows:

Anxious trail riders

Let us pave the way for a successful trail experience for you and your horse, starting with time in our sand arena (or round yard) until you feel confident to take to the trails. We have 50 acres of bush hills and a stream on the property to get your confidence in different terrain and different equine company.

Intermediate trails

We will ride into the Black Range or Alpine Park to enjoy some beautiful country with a stop for lunch at a lookout or a tour of the turquoise mines. For some these rides can be challenging and for others a little less taxing. We can visit a winery for the shorter ride on the Sunday or choose to ride back into the bush.

Advanced trails

We will head into the Black Range to tackle some technical footing up and down bush mountains and into beautiful gullies. Most of the ride will be off trails and pushing our way through the bush. It may include creek crossings, steep inclines and declines and unsteady footing. Your horse will need to be fit, calm and sensible with some exposure to difficult terrain and not prone to panic. Your horse should also be aged 5 years and older.

Groups/clubs

We are happy to tailor a ride schedule for your group or club. Private groups need a minimum of 7 riders and a maximum of 12 riders. ATHRA groups can increase the maximum attendees if there are qualified trail bosses within the group to expand our rider ratio. Riders will be capped at 20 to keep horses safe in our yards.

Clinics

We host a number of clinics per year from dressage to obstacles to archery to medieval reenactments to horsemanship. As our facilities expand, we will be able to host courses that require a classroom or a venue for competitions.

Riding with Sticks

Introducing Australian and international archery and jousting competitors Liberty & Rodney Deaman who will run clinics on mounted archery and medieval disciplines such as jousting and skill at arms.
